Abingdon Business Park
Warehouses
| Harford County, MD
The scope of this project includes design
services for the core and shell for four
warehouse buildings on a site in Abingdon,
MD, directly adjacent to I-95. Portions of the
site are directly visible from the highway,
making it so a large number of people will see
the site daily – as such a high level of design
was implemented at the areas of the buildings
most visible from I-95.
Warehouses will be constructed with site cast
tilt-up concrete panels. There will be two
matching entry features designed into the
façade of each building at the corners. There
will also be non-entry corner features on
building #1 in order to attract the eye from
I-95. There will be docks on both long sides
of the building on buildings 1 and 2, with
buildings 3A and 3B having docks only along
a single side.
The buildings will also use patterns and score
lines to break up the long faces of the building,
in order to reduce the perceived scale of the
building.
