Bernardon provided architectural design services for an
approximately 47,000 SF mixed-use and retail project with both
renovation and addition components. Building I of the complex
consisted of a 12,400 SF renovation to a former SEPTA bus
terminal garage with a 4,500 SF addition. Building II is a new,
two-story building of approximately 30,200 SF with the first
floor serving as retail space and the second floor as Class A
office space.
The center was designed to flow naturally into the surrounding
historic area of Bryn Mawr. The front façade along Lancaster
Avenue has a traditional brick exterior to blend into the existing
streetscape.
