What to do:
1. To make the simple sugar syrup, place the sugar and water into a saucepan over a
medium heat. Allow the sugar to dissolve and then bring to a boil. Remove from the
heat and allow to chill completely in the fridge.
2. To assemble, pour 1 cup of simple sugar syrup into a large jug and add the lime juice,
zest and lime slices.
3. Add the mint, a couple of ice cubes and top with water. Stir well and taste. Add more
water if need be.
4. To make the alcoholic version, add a tot of rum to individual glasses and top with the
limeonade.
