FINAL DRAFT

Over the last years the world has experienced a big social problem, which is migration.
This situation has as principal reasons the economic situation of the countries and the

possibility to find advanced level studies. The first and principal reason is the low
economic situation of the countries. Nowadays, there are not too much sources of

employment, because companies that provide it are closing. So, many people are losing

their jobs and it affects their families. For example, here in Ecuador, the low oil price
has been the main cause for which people migrate. Since people lost their jobs, they

look for more opportunities abroad, due to the needs their families have, such as
nutrition, health and education. It knows that abroad, people get a better salary to

survive, so then they can come back with their families and improve their life

conditions.
The second reason is the desire of many people, especially students to get advanced

level studies. Lots of students want to study in foreign countries because they think the
education there, is the best, and also because of the big offer of academic programs that

can help them. In addition, they want to have a good salary because it would help them

to have a better future. They know that job opportunities are possible and they can come
from everywhere, as a result of a degree or a high level education.

In conclusion this social problem has made people migrate around the world due to the
economic situation each country faces, and also because students want to get a better

future with a high level education.
