7) Do you believe that transparency in a brand is important to consumers?
I am not sure what you mean but the best brands are authentic and live their values
8) To what extent can the spread of misinformation on social platforms such as Instagram and Facebook be detrimental to a brands reputation? I am not really an expert on this but any bad eWOM is not good for a brand
9) Do brands who take a stand on social issues such as BLM or climate change likely to be more popular with consumers than those who focus solely on selling their products?
It depends on whether their position is authentic and whether their actions match up with their words. It is easy to get on a bandwagon it is much more difficult to actually make a difference.
10) Do you think that consumers trust high street brands more of less than they did 5 years ago? Why?
That is another difficult one and I believe there are plenty of indices you could look at – I think Milward Brown do something on this. I am not really sure it matters to be honest. If a high street brand does something bad that is not good for them but it doesn’t mean that people will stop shopping there.
