                            A  BELOVED  MOTHER,  AUNT,

                                     COUSIN,  AND  FRIEND





                  Ms.  Betty  Lue  (Wilbun1)  Varn,er  was  born  on  March  14,  I 959  in  West


                  Helena, Arkansas to  Leslie and Leola (Mama Dear) Wilburn. Ms. Betty loved

                  God,  and  her favorite  scripture  was  Philippians 4:7  .. And  the  peace of God,

                  which  surpasses  all  understanding,  will  guard  your  hearts  and your  minds

                  through Christ Jesus." She accepted God at  an  early age and  was  a member


                  of Star of Bethlehem Missionary  Baptist  Church  for  many years  under  the

                  leaderships of the  late Pastor James Young and Reverend Tommy  Stevenson.

                  In  her youth,  she was  a star athlete  in volleyball.  She  earned  a  full-athletic

                  scholarship to  play volleyball  at  Southern Arkansas  University  in  Magnolia,

                  Arkansas where  she majored  in  Physical  Education.  Jn  her early adulthood,


                  she continued to remain active and ean1ed countless  trophies during her time

                  on the  local community softball and volleyball teams.




                  Ms. Betty was the only surviving daughter of Leslie  and  Leola Wilburn.  She

                  was  preceded in  death by  her parents along with  her 5 siblings:  J.P. Wilburn,

                  Juanita  Jones,  Dorothy  Collins,  Robert  Wilburn,  and  Ernest  Wilburn.  Ms.


                  Betty  was  a  devoted  mother  and  leaves  3  children  to  cherish  her  loving

                  memory:  James  "Tiny"  Crockett,  III;  Christopher  (Brooke)  Hines,  and

                  Elizabeth Marie (Brandon) Parker. She also leaves behind a host of
