Features of the City
Macao, officially the Macao Special
Administrative Region of the People's
Republic of China, is a city on the western
side of the Pearl River estuary in southern
China and is 60 Km far away from Hong Kong
Special Administrative Region. The total land
area of Macao SAR is 32.9 km² (Macao
Cartography and Cadastre Bureau,2019).
Macao is a city with lower-mountain hill area,
the terrain is low and very few natural flats
(most of flats were created by the land
reclamation), as well as hills, are widely
distributed. The geographical composition of
the flora of Macao is dominated by tropical
plants, so cultivated plants by human also
belong to tropical plants.
