Heritage

Macau is a unique place where East meet West. In Macau, there

are 55 cultural heritages in Macau. Macau Peninsula takes the larger
proportion where 25 of the cultural heritages are located in this area.

While 20 and 10 of them are located in Coloane and Taipa
respectively.

The cultural heritages at Macau Peninsula forms the Historic Center

of Macao. It consists of 22 principal buildings and public spaces. The
center has become World Heritage Site since 2005. It is the place
where East meet West, Chinese and Portuguese. There are Western

and Chinese architectural heritage standing side by side in the city. In
short, the Historic Center of Macao is the place where East and West

exchange in terms of cultural, religious, belief and technology.
