Blood Vessels
Types of Blood vessels :-
Based on work, blood vessels are classified into three types. They are :
1. Arteries 2. Veins 3. Capillaries
Arteries :- The blood vessels which carry blood from heart to body parts are called
arteries.
Veins :- The blood vessels which carry blood from the body parts to heart are called
veins.
Capillaries :- Capillaries are the smallest blood vessels, which connects the
arterioles and venules.
The walls of capillaries are made of single layer of cells. They allow
diffusion of various substances.
Arterioles of artery and venules of veins join with microscopic vessels
called capillaries.
