TYPES OF NEURONS Types of Nerves
1. On the basis of path ways followed, Nerves are classified
AFFERENT / SENSORY NEURON mainly into three types. They are :
1. Sensory Nerve / Afferent Nerve
2. Motor Nerve / Efferent Nerve
3. Association Nerve
1. Sensory Nerve :-
Nerves that carry impulses/information from the sense organs (or) Re-
ceptors to spinal cord/brain are called sensory nerves.
EFFERENT / MOTOR NEURON 2. Motor Nerve :-
Nerves that carry impulses/information from the brain (or) spinal cord to
effector organs are called Motor nerves.
3. Assosiation Nerve :-
Nerves that link together the sensory and motor nerves are called
Assosiation nerves.
Structure of BRAIN Structure of BRAIN
1. Brain is present in the hard bony box like structure How to draw

2. It is covered by three layers called the meninges. The Meninges are
continuous and cover the spinal cord as well.
3. The space between the inner layers is filled with Cerebro-Spinal Fluid (C.S.F.)
4. Brain contains three divisions. They are :
