The Broken Window
Early Sunday morning John, Jimmy and some
other boys were in search of a place to play an
exciting game of cricket. Eventually, they found
the perfect place to play some cricket - Ms. Bob’s
yard. They chose it because it had the most
luscious green grass in the neighbourhood.
The boys asked Ms. Bob,
“Ms. Bob can we play some cricket in your yard?’’
“Yes you may my children, but do not to smash
my windows!’’ she warned sternly.
The boys played the game with a passion. There
were two teams. The first team was the Red Bad
Boys and the other team was the Black Bulls.
The game went on and the Red Bad Boys who
batted first were all out after scoring only 78 runs
in 20 overs.
“I outing all of y’all, watch and see”, boasted
Jimmy, as he threatened the opposing team.
