The Broken Window
‘’Oh! I got an idea’’, announced John. “I have been
saving for weeks, so we can use some of that
money to pay Mr. Fluffypuff to fix Ms. Bob’s
window”.
“Oh yes! If all of us pitch in, I am sure we can get
the window fixed”, suggested Jimmy.
The boys put their allowances together and it
totaled $350. Mr. Fluffypuff fixed the window and
the boys paid him in full.
Out of curiosity, Mr. Fluffypuff questioned Jimmy.
‘’Jimmy, did you break the window?’’
‘’We were all playing, so we are all responsible’’,
answered Jimmy smartly.
‘’You boys are lucky to have the precise amount of
money needed to fix Ms. Bob’s window’’,
replied Mr. Fluffypuff.
