ersons living within my dead-end, middle-class

street call me ‘Sheri’. The shortened form of my

name ‘Sherika,’ which means ‘family’. Like my

siblings, I am observant, attentive, sharing and

caring towards family members and our
neighbours. . Residents on the street get along

with and respect each other, except for a man

named, ‘Gangsta’. He has, on many occasions,

uttered loud, angry outbursts to persons on the

          street.
