Donkey’s Awful Day

A short way down the road, Donkey met two

children and asked them what their names were.
They told him Marsha and Jake. He did not know

that they were a cruel pair.

“What do you do for fun?” Donkey asked.

“We love to chase and stone animals and our

favourite is the donkey. So we are going to chase

you!”

Donkey started to laugh until he saw that they
had picked up sticks and stones from the

roadside. They started to hit Donkey with the

sticks. Donkey cried out for them to stop but this

only made them laugh. So Donkey started to run

down the road.

The cruel pair followed behind Donkey, throwing

sticks and stones at him and laughing loudly.

Each time a stick or a stone hit Donkey, he cried

out.
