Awoken by a Space Creature
T
hree years ago, on a Monday night my parents
went to a restaurant to celebrate their
anniversary. They left me in charge of the house
as well as my sister Kieva, and my brother Khejel.
As soon as they left I went downstairs and made
my younger sister and brother watch a movie.
By the time the movie was over they had fallen
asleep and I placed them in their beds, one by
one. I then went bed as well, but I kept struggling
to sleep so I took up a boring book to read.
Eventually I started yawning, so I placed the book
over the head of my wooden bed, covered my
tired body from head to toe and then fell asleep
like a log.
Suddenly, the sound of something crashing in my
yard woke me up from my deep sleep. I quickly
got up and went to look out through my window
to see what had happened and saw what looked
