Hunting for Manicou
We were so frightened because we knew if he
caught us we would be in big, big trouble.
I was sure that we would have been history. I told
my friends we have to put back the Manicous and
they all agreed.
I quickly grabbed the bag with the man’s Manicou
and ran in the opposite direction down the
mountain as fast as I could to put back the bag of
Manicous.
I placed it in the very same spot and ran back up
the mountain and hid.
The man passed where we were hiding.
Quarrelling as he went down the hill, he said,
“If I catch those little monsters, I will kill them”.
