My Grandma’s Mango Tree
We screamed and tried to descend as fast as
possible, but not fast enough to avoid several
stings. Fortunately, for Myron, he was able to
escape all but one of the stings. As we hustled to
the ground and ran for safety, we felt the pain of
our bodies, which were now swollen from the
bites. My grandmother rushed out to see what all
the commotion was about, and provided us with
some medication for the stings, which she rubbed
over the swellings.
My friends exclaimed that after many months of
playing in our clubhouse, they could not believe
that the trees were also housing terrible insects.
After our traumatic event we decided to be more
vigilant next time.
My grandmother asked my dad to check the trees
and get rid of all the wasps that lived in them.
My friends left in disbelief, but vowed that they
will return to their usual spot despite their
unexpected experience.
