My Grandma’s Mango Tree

Sometimes we play cricket. Other times we play

football. We use the shade of the trees because it is
convenient since the park is too far away, but we

need to practice our game. After every practice we

get better. I thank God for the trees that provide

shade. In the dry season we water the trees. Once

the grass grows high, we cut it.

One afternoon, as my friends, Myron, Julian,

Tarique and John came by to hang out, we climbed

into the taller mango tree and began swinging

from branch to branch.
