(b) (i) Investigation of stomatal density of Specimen B.
Procedure: • Spread a thin layer of nail varnish over the lower surface
of Specimen B.
• Allow to dry
• Peel off the thin replica with a fine forceps.
• Lay it on a slide and add a cover slip (it may be mounted
in water if you choose).
• Count the number of stomata in a given field of view and
repeat three times in different areas.
DO NOT WRITE IN THIS AREA
• Obtain a mean value.
