UNDER ARMOUR
“Fixes” The
MODERN ZIPPER
If you’ve ever struggled with aligning the pin into
the box of your zipper to zip up your jacket- or have
had a pin go bad in the middle of winter leaving you
to brave subzero conditions with a gaping, unzipped
coat- you will be sure to appreciate the
Mag Zip, a modern offering to fix the 100 year old
zipper issue.
1 Invented by Scott Peters who grew up watching his
Uncle with myotopic dystrophy struggle to zip his
clothing, Under Armour has released the Mag Zip on
many of its outer garments with a tag stating
“We fixed the Zipper... You’re Welcome.”
The Mag Zip’s key feature is a set of cylindrical mag-
nets housed by an open hook and clasp mechanism
that interlocks the zipper so it can be zipped without
the standard pin insertion into a zipper box, and can
even be zipped up with one hand with some savvy.
THANK YOU Under Armour!
