Dr. Luther Johnson, III (Trey) is a native Houstonian. He is the second child, and only son born to Luther Johnson, Jr. and Ada Johnson. Dr. Johnson has a wonderful and supportive sister, Dr. Pleshette Johnson-Wiggins.
Dr. Johnson was a child prodigy, who graduated from
Westbury Senior High School at the age of 16. He then
continued his education and life experiences at Xavier
University of New Orleans where he majored in Biology while
minoring in Healthcare Administration. After the birth of his son
in 2001, he renewed his quest for education by pursuing a
double major in Human Biology and Public Health
Administration. In January 2005, he was accepted to Texas
Chiropractic College, and began an accelerated graduate
program completing his Doctor of chiropractic degree in 2008. During his time at Texas Chiropractic College, he was recognized by Who's Who of Students in America. A prestigious student achievement. After graduation, and board certifications, Dr. Johnson managed the radiological unit of one of his family’s practices and continued to hone his craft. In 2013, Dr. Johnson contracted with one of the largest Worker's Compensation companies in America. Traveling nationwide from facility to facility, he gained immeasurable experience while helping his patients with a well-liked bed side manner.
In 2015, Dr. Johnson and his sister, Dr. Pleshette Johnson-Wiggins, started Advanced Functional Rehab which continues to expand and grow to this day. During this time, the two of them decided to participate in more community mentorship opportunities. Dr. Johnson believed that younger, African American boys and young men needed to see, and interact with successful individuals that looked like them. For the past three (3) years, Dr. Johnson volunteers his time and knowledge engaging our future leaders on how to become active, positive citizens in society.
Dr. Johnson is an active member of many professional organizations. Some of them include the American Chiropractic Association, the Texas Chiropractic Association, the American Black Chiropractic Association, North American Spine Society and many more.
Dr. Johnson has one college-aged son, Luther, IV, majoring in Computer Sciences.
