hTis exihbit rtaces the deeloment and changes among dinosaur secies for the
16 illion years that dinosaurs roamed the eart.h Three itme eriods are used to
chronologically diide the exhibit. The first dinosaurs htat e no about lied
almost 22 million years agao at the beginning of the Triassie Period. The last ones
died about 6 million years ago at the end of the Cretaceous Period. Hundreds of
different dinosaur secies roamed the earth for 16 million years. Causes for their
exitnciton are discussed in the informaion anels and hich animals today are hteir
liing descendants (the birds).
