                                485. Tho following letter was addressed by the Resident to Captain
                            Botham on 8th September 1827
                               2.  The proceedings you (lclail in your letter nro of too important a naturo to be hastily
                            investigated at a distance, or indeed even to bo thoroughly understood, but in the mcantimo
                            I havo most particularly to request that you will, in all your proceedings, hear in mind tho
                            peouliar alliauco that exists between tho British Government and that of Persia, to which
                            Bushiro is Bubjeot.
                               3.  As much irritation seems to exist in the mind of Shaik Nasir, I havo likewiso to
                            request that you will not hold any further communication with him or Shaik Abdul ltussul
                            on the subject of tho Into past eveuta, which will be duly enquired into.
