                        I have the honour to enolooo herewith for tho
              information of the Govornmont of India, a copy of tho
     lo. 1C9/9/2, dated 11th July 1924.J  marginally oited memorandum
              from tho Political Agont, Bahrain, covoring a tranolation
              of tho Bahrain State Budget for the Arabic year commencing
              lot l/iuharam 1343 (3rd August 1024).

                   2. Vho present Budget being tho first of its kind ao
              far ao the Bahrain Stats is conoorned, it is not pooulblo to
              draw any comparioon with thooo of formor youro.      A rough
              budget for one month was oubraitted to tho Oovornraont of India
              by ruy prodooouoor under oovor of his despatch Ho. 71Gr&, dated
              tho 22nd Pocombor 1923, which gavo an Indication of tho
              plqaoingly oolvent condition of tho State Finances, duo mainly
              to tho export handling of tho Cuotomo Dopartmont by hr. J3owor.
