• This sum is arrived at by taking an average on the
total number of boats diving from the actual sums accounted
for by the diving clerks from the boats whose accounts they
made up. Only about 3/4th of the boats have their accounts
made up by the authorised clerks.

Prom this it appears that the average production of
a boat decreased by about 27jS from last yearfs production.
