                  Company formal confirmation of their acceptance of the arrangements and
                  will communicate such confirmation to you.

                 Letter, dated March 26, 1938, from the Ruler of Sharjah to the Political Agent,
                       Bahrain, confirming Acceptance of the Terms contained in (a) above
                      In reply to your letter dated the 20th Shauwal 1356 (No. 3), equivalent to
                  the 23rd December 1937, I beg to inform you that I have taken notice of the
                 conditions set out in your letter and that I agree to them.
                     I undertake, moreover, that I will be guided by the advice of His Majesty’s
                  Government in regard to my termination of the concessions which is referred to in
                 paragraph 3 (b) of your letter.

                 Letter, dated March 27, 1938, from the Political Agent, Bahrain, to the Ruler of
                       Sharjah requesting the latter to agree to obtain His Majesty’s Governments
                       Approval before entering into Negotiations with a Bank
                     With reference to the Agreement signed by you on the 17th September 1937
                 (No. 9) corresponding to the 11th day of Rajab 1356, granting to Petroleum
                 Concessions, Limited, an oil concession in respect of your territory, I have been
                 directed by His Majesty’s Government to inform you that, subject to the formal
                 confirmation by the Company of the arrangements described in my letter of the
                 23rd December, 1937 (No. 10 (a)), to which you have agreed in your letter of the
                 26th March 1938 (No. 10 (b)), corresponding to the 23rd Muharram 1357, they are
                 prepared to accord their approval to the concession provided you accept the
                 following condition, namely, that should you wish to grant permission to a Bank
                 to open a branch or agency in Sharjah, as mentioned in Article 25 of the Concession,
                 you will obtain His Majesty’s Government’s approval before entering into any
                 negotiations with the Bank.
                     Please let me know whether this condition is accepted by you.

                 Letter, dated March 30, 1938, from the Ruler of Sharjah to the Political Agent,
                                 Bahrain, Agreeing to the Request in (c) above

                     In reply to your letter No. C/202-10/12, dated the 24th Muharram 1357,
                 equivalent to the 27th March 1938, I beg to inform you that should I wish to
                 grant permission to a Bank to open a branch or agency in Sharjah, I will obtain
                 His Majesty’s Government’s approval before entering into any negotiations with
                 the Bank.

                 Letter, dated May 23, 1938, from the Political Agent, Bahrain to the Ruler of
                       Sharjah, Informing him that the Arrangements contained in (a) above and
                       his Acceptance of them have been communicated to Petroleum Concessions
                       Limited
                     With reference to paragraph 4 of my letter No. C/929-10/12 dated the
                 23rd December 1937 (No. 10 (a)), I have been instructed by His Majestys
                 Government to inform you that the arrangements set forth in that letter and your
