Letter dated December 16, 1952, from The Bahrein Petroleum Company to the
Ruler of Bahrain confirming that, in its computation of Income Tax
Liability, no deductions will be made by the Company as a result of any
Monetary Judgments that might result from the United States Govern
ment’s Investigation into Oil Cartels
I have the honour to confirm that in its computation of income subject to
taxation the Company cannot make any deductions in respect of any monetary
judgments or fines which might result from the investigation into alleged oil cartels
which the United States Government is now conducting or of law suits or other
proceedings connected therewith.
Note.—In 1953 the Company changed the spelling of “ Bahrein ” in its title
to “ Bahrain *\
