conferred on the British Government jurisdiction over British subjects
and foreigners residing in Kuwait.1
There is no doubt that consequent to the express termination in
1961 of the principal Agreement of 1899, all the above-mentioned
undertakings and engagements of the Shaikhdom have become null
and void.2
