We have very litfclo more than two months salt provisions on board the
fleet, which will soon be expended as we cannot bo supplied from Bushire with
sufficient fresh meat.
The two schooners dispatched with the Experiment nro not vet arrived
wo are in hourly expectation of seeing them.

J?.S. enclosed is a copy of Mf- Skipp’s letter to the Factors at Bushire
which arrived with us this day, since the above was wrote we have had a
particular report of the killed, wounded and missing, which arc—
Europeon seamen 4 killed . l missing belonging to the Wolf.

Having particular occasion to make several observations on your pastF«li«y in the Gnlf.
and to givo some directions for your future conduct in the management of the
Companys affairs in the Persian Gulph wo now transmit them to you by an
overland Conveyance.
2. The several letters from your settlement which you transmitted to us
over the Desart in the course of the past year, were dated as follows, and
received at the undermentioned periods, viz.—

3. We observe with great concern that the Forces sent bofore had not
been able to effect one single object for their interest on Credit, on the
Contrary to judge from the present appearance, will be attended with a con
siderable expence to us, and embroil tbeir affairs in every part of the Gulpb,
owing in a great measure to want of knowledge and experience in those who
have transacted this disagreeable undertaking which we shall point out in the
following part of this letter.
