The exchange of Dollars throughout the year under review has been steadily
rising from Rs. 133 per $ loo to Rs. 154 per $ 100. The following is the
monthly average rate of exchange for the year.

Shipping.—The number of vessels that entered and cleared from the Masfcat
harbour is 707 representing a tonnage of 580,324 as against 732 with tonnage
of 398,556 of the year 1904-05, thus giving a decrease of 25 vessels but an
increase of iS 1,758 tonnage for the year under review.
The percentages of the total tonnage of the vessels of different nationalities
that entered the Maskat harbour are as follows
