This overprinted issue has been forged, even to the extent of
appearing on the 12a. value of the basic set with a clear “Rangoon"
postmark! The genuine overprint measures 16 x 2VSmm. and lorgeries
           exist 16 x 3mm. and 18 x 216mm., mainly on used copies of unover
printed Indian stamps. Some of these, especially on the scarce 4a., are
very good imitations; and a knowledge of the cancellations in use
(Types 5 and 7 mainly, and Type 6 very rarely) may help to identify
           copies with alien postmarks.
