Type 9 cancellation, June 6th, 1941.

This rubber hand-stamp (Type 9) was generally struck in blue.
Initially, the date was added in blue pencil alongside the stamps — e.g.
‘24/5’ (May 24th) — but later examples have the date struck with a
rubber stamp - e.g. ‘6 JUNE 1941’ — alongside the stamps. This same
date-stamp was also used to back-stamp incoming letters.
