This is Jacob Karrer von

Geweiler of Basel, an at-

tempted murderer who

was left beheaded and

had his body snatched

by Vesalius, just like

me. He went through

my same process, and is

still around to this day.

People still think he’s

the oldest articulated

human skeleton in the

world, but that’s only be-

cause they haven’t found

me yet. I stuck around

with Vesalius for quite a

young while, who began

dubbing me as “Living

Bones”, playing with my

last name Livingstone. I

liked the name, as did I

like the life I had. I got to

be positioned by Vesalius

and drawn into De Fab-

rica. My skeleton would

forever be in the pages of

this great anatomy book.
