                                                                          as an experimental, self-contained world
                                                                          in which groups of people were sealed
                                                                          for long periods to help test technologies

                                               T                          for colonizing space. The role of the
                                                                          lungs was to relieve pressure inside the
                                                                          enormous glass facility.
