Cavaliers

This cavalier often causes the attacker’s hand to open, and is effective if you
wish to make him let go of an object.

This cavalier can be the same as either #1 or #2, except that instead of placing
one hand on the wrist and one on the hand, both hands are on the wrist and both

thumbs push the back of the hand down to make the technique.

STARTING POSITION: Catch the attacker’s hand and wrist in your two
hands. Place both thumbs on the back of his hand; be sure your fingers around
his wrist do not brace the wrist and prevent it from bending.

               1. Pull with your fingers and push with your thumbs so the attacker’s hand goes
down toward his wrist. This will cause his hand to open.
