COMMUNICATION
A thought that is never spoken is one that will never be shared.
The wise warrior knows that without communicating the battle plan to others in the
tribe, the war cannot be won.
An army that understands the battle plan, fights as one.
Most tribal members are willing to do anything to support the tribe if they first under-
stand why it must be done.
It has been proven throughout history that the few can defeat the many if provided the
training and weapons, but most importantly if it is communicated to them that they alone
stand between the life and death of the tribe.
Communication of critical information is the motivational tool that has changed ordi-
nary men and women into great warriors during times of crisis.
To take the position that communication is not important is to deny one of the most
powerful weapons of war.
To be sure the battle plan is understood, a wise warrior will ask if there are any ques-
tions, if he still feels it was not understood, he will ask them to repeat it.
A wise warrior knows that tribal members need to be informed as to the progress of the
tribe; posting of information where all can see is a simple way to keep all focused.
The warrior chief supports a chain of command, but states he is available if needed, and
will not tolerate intimidation by others.
The wise chief makes it clear to all that he is accessible if critical information is discov-
ered.
The wise warrior knows that the graveyard is full of those who thought they had the
only answer and the only way to solve a problem.
A wise chief knows that he would not be where he is if he did not understand and have
the vision to see what needed to be done…It is important to share this vision with others for
continued success.
