Since the funding cuts
 The number of clients waiting for classes continues to
grow, putting pressure on available resources and staff
capacity.
 Access to crucial language learning opportunities are
limited.
What we heard after the
 It made me really sad, because I was expecting to
continue learning English. ~Fosia

 I don’t want to use a translator at the doctor, I want to
keep my info private. Also, I want to communicate with
my children’s teachers.
 I am a single mom who cannot get a good job with
my poor vocabulary and spelling. Presently, my children
understand English more than me and I want to be able
to interact with them so that we can be a strong family.
 I can’t improve my English skills further and this hinders
my goals.
 If I have (C L B 5) I am very confident to get a job. I will be
able to build a strong community by helping my children
to communicate with their teachers and classmates.
