THIS COURSE WILL meet the New Mexico Public Education Department graduation
requirements for Algebra II. It will continue the development of algebraic concepts.
This course is highly recommended for the college-bound student, but is also
important for a student considering technical training at CNM or a similar school.
STUDENTS WILL continue to explore and develop their algebra skills in the areas of
real numbers, imaginary numbers, equations and inequalities, linear, quadratic,
exponential and logarithmic functions, sequences and series, and some conics as Geometry B or

THIS COURSE WILL expose the student to foundational concepts of calculus and Grade of "C" or
provide experience with its methods and applications. AP Calculus ab is a college higher in Pre- AP
level calculus course (equivalent to most colleges’ first semester and a half of Pre- Calculus or
calculus) designed to prepare students for success on the College Board’s Advanced permission of
Placement Exam. The course emphasizes a multi-representational approach to instructor.
