Comes to the UK

Delaware North UK are partnering with Chick-fil-A
a franchised restaurant company based in Atlanta,
Georgia, and the No. 1 chicken chain in the U.S.
Chick-fil-A is known for great, freshly prepared food
and for signature hospitality.

The restaurant at The Oracle Shopping Centre in
Reading opens on Thursday 10th October and will
evaluate the potential for Chick-fil-A in the UK.
Colin Whitton from Wembley is being seconded as
GM, he’s being supported by Amanda Ramsey, Neil
Richards, Andi Redwood and Robert Tame through
the launch period.

Robert Tame commented “The lead time for getting
this restaurant launched has been short, it’s been a
great effort working with all departments across the
business to get this mobilised, there’s been a lot of

Chick-fil-A is a highly successful business in the
USA, it’s going to interesting to see if this success
can be replicated in the UK market.

The product is freshly prepared and excellent
quality, the team went through a detailed training
programme with a Chick-fil-A team that came over
from Atlanta.

As the training facility was within a goal kick’s
distance of Emirates Stadium, we invited some of the
team for lunch. Our trainees were able to cook the
Emirates team a Chick-fil-A lunch. The response to
the food was very positive, there was a clean sweep
of empty plates”
