London Stadium Hit it Outta the park at the MLB
The London stadium underwent a major transformation ahead of the MLB. Months of preparation, 200,000
pints of Amstel Lager, 30,000 beef burgers, 30,000 Hot Dogs, 1.4 tonnes of monkey nuts, 1 tonne of Jalapeno
peppers and 2.8 tonnes of queso (nacho cheese sauce) were needed to welcome guests from all over the
world.
The historical event was attended by the Duke and Duchess of Sussex and was covered across the world by
well known media outlets like The New York Times, Sky Sports, The Telegraph, BBC 5 Live and many more.
Delaware North even got a Shout out from the cast of A League of Their Own who stopped by to sample the
Boomstick.
As for the Boomstick we sold nearly 3,000 2ft Hot Dogs, laid end to end measures in at 6000 feet. Thats 3 X
the size of Burj Khalifa’s. That’s a lot of dogs.
The London Stadium team spent the weekend looking after approx. 120,000 guests during a heatwave that
sent temperatures soaring to 35 degrees. Despite the heat they put on a show as our teams around the UK
came together to support the operation.
Congratulations on the Home run of an event and here’s to the end of Baseball puns at least until the return
of the MLB Next June.
