FINAL REFLECTION
Some students may find English Writing among the hardest syllabus since it requires us
analyzing different topics to make our own conclusions, develop our critical thinking skills and
autonomous learning. However, it has been useful because it contributed to deepen my
understanding of language development with an emphasis on second language acquisition by
learning main factors of human development, models of human language development, language
process, theories and aspects involved in language.
Besides that, my knowledge increased about how teach English as I became familiar with
processes that most people never consider the complexity and difficulty of the writing process. In
fact, relative to all other academic activities, writing requires more basic skills than perhaps any
other.
All activities done during the semester, including the panel, forums, writing paragraphs, action
research, and investigations on topics related to language development, has been meaningful as
they contributed with the development of my competences and level of knowledge about how to
teach English.
