I can have them look into the issue further and maybe direct them in a different way. If they need to get more people
      involved.

 Deputy Director of Gaming
Please describe a complex situation in which you have received pushback from a party that you were attempting to regu-

Every day here. Today I was inspecting camera angles and the director was giving me pushback on the angle - when it
gets to that point I usually go to the regulation and read it off - "138, 14, Section b." Usually that's how it will get re-

Why are you interested in the Deputy Director of Gaming opportunity with the City of San Jose? Tell me a bit about what you It's pretty easy in MA because we can point to regulations. We can reason with them and there are options. Usually, once

In terms of communication, what is your approach to working with various stakeholders, such as management, staff, and
      the people you are regulating.
I'm interested because it is career advancement from what I do right now. I am very familiar with the Casino Industry. I have
opened five Casinos. I have worked in multiple states on the Casino side and with the state. In terms of San Jose, in terms of

Currently I am a supervisor with the Massachusetts gaming commission. The audits that we conduct I will delegate to the
agents below me. They will go to the count room to the cage to day to day table games. If we find something criminal they will 10. Is there anything else you would like to add?

If it is something criminal we will go to the police and they will do their investigations.

      11. If out of the area – Are you willing to relocate to the San Jose Area?
How many employees do you supervise? Who do you report to? What are the areas that you regulate?
      Willing to relocate.

It's kind of weird because I jump around different parts of the State. I can supervise anywhere between six to twelve to maybe
22 if you count all of the casinos together. It is different casinos at different sites, wherever they need me. I report to the Senior
Supervisor - is the one who stays at each site. They are a manager. I report to them and they report to someone at the Boston
office. We are placed where we are needed. I have a lot of experience with opening casinos. Now a month away - about to
open up the casino in Boston - so I'm here.

I do it all - money laundering, criminal, to day to day audits, to auditing a door that needs to be secured. I have to inspect all
of the settings for slot machines - to monitoring the alcohol. We are really big in monitoring the alcohol and stuff like that. It is
literally the whole scope of the casino.

Please describe the ways in which you determine whether your organization is operating efficiently and effectively. How do you
implement changes to departmental policy if needed?

One thing that keeps us organized is we use a system called itrack - I am able to delegate tasks to agents. It's a really easy
system that keeps me organized - I can assign a task - it comes up to me and I can review it and then I can say good job - or
