Parvin has 25+ years experience in public sector parks/rec/community engagment. He sees
himself as a community engagment person, and prides himself in his ability and successes in
building relationships. Currently at City of Fresno; has innovated by bringing in new technologies
that provide data and metrics, added vocational programs and job opportunities for youth, and
is building a new large senior center to include housing. He started out as a jantor and worked
his way up; understands all aspects of the business. Enthusiasm for the opportunity and youth
focus was palpable. He has wanted to move to Sacramento area for a long time; has family
and friends and travels there regularly
Parvin brings his successful implemention of new youth based programs,technology, and a modern
approach to outreach, community engagment, and programming that has been effective.
