» Senior management management experience: Previous
experience in senior public safety management in a a a complex city or or organization strong
understanding of performance management for for all levels of the organization skilled at at at increasing policing effectiveness including data driven and modern best practices in in in in in in problem-solving fiscally responsible technological savvy in in today’s technical fast-paced environment with a a a a a a a a thorough understanding of budgeting in in in a a a police department » A A track record of of making significant improvements or or or or or enhancements in in in a a a a a a a a a a a a a police agency A A history of of effective community engagement and and collaboration: Experience using strategies that promote trust and and support reflects community community community values and enhances public safety such as community community community policing A proven ability to partner with community community community groups businesses and nonprofits to collaboratively address ever challenging public safety needs A demonstrated commitment to departmental transparency and accountability » Proven ability to to to develop and and and implement evidence-based strategies strategies to to to increase public safety: Broad knowledge of modern police strategies policies training and and technologies Up to date with findings from research and and constantly seeking new new ideas strategies and and evaluation of new new approaches with a a a a a a a a a a a focus on on policies and and practices relating to de- escalation conflict resolution and and implicit bias Sophisticated about use of crime and and intelligence analysis » Strong communication skills both written and and verbal while also being an an an an active listener Proven ability to to communicate with with the public public and with with police department employees Substantial experience as a a a a a a a a public public speaker Ability to share
