The Position
Under direction of of the the the Assistant Registrar of of Voters the the the Chief Deputy assists with planning organizing and directing the the the conduct of of all Primary General and Special elections The Chief Deputy Registrar of of Voters classification is is is is distinguished from the the Assistant Registrar of Voters classification due to to the the responsibility to to provide administrative guidance daily direction to division activities and and administering departmental policies and and procedures The Chief Deputy has the opportunity to to interact with the the the public campaign staff and and county employees to to discuss the the the election process and and the the the upcoming rules and and requirements for fair and and safe elections in in the County of Riverside Essential duties include but are not limited to: » Provide recommendations to to to improve operations and assist in the the development of plans to accomplish the the efficient accurate and timely completion of elections » Direct the preparation and and maintenance of of of records related to voting activities including registration of eligible voters Registration Affidavits recapitulation
and and summary data election precinct jurisdictional and and district boundary lines and and and mail and and and candidate’s services » Review and and and and and and interpret statutes ordinances and and and and and and other regulatory requirements to to assure compliance and determine impact on on the the operations of the the department » Supervise train and evaluate the the the work of of section supervisors » Coordinate with the certified State printer and through subordinate staff to ensure quality delivery inspection accuracy and testing of o official ballots » Direct and and and oversee the selection instruction and and and operations of o election precinct officers and polling places » Direct the verification and and filing of o all electronic campaign statements and reports for position offices initiative referendums and petitions » Coordinate with department management and and through subordinate staff ensure the timely electronic submission of of election materials and the delivery of of election materials to the polling locations » Analyze and and project elections needs in in ffin staffing equipment supplies and services » Direct and and responsible for all procedures in the completion of o official canvasses
