The ideal candidate will will possess strong oral and and written communication skills as the Chief Deputy Registrar of Voters will will interact with with staff and voters on on a a a a a a a a regular basis Experience with with medium to to large size county elections for 3 to to 5 years will provide the County Registrar’s Office with an an an an experienced individual who can direct and manage staff in in preparation for elections With an an opportunity to to telework during during non-election times the the candidate is expected to to be onsite during during the the busy and exciting election season which may require schedule fluctuations Other important attributes include strong time management skills managerial/supervisory experience Certified Elections Registration Administrator certification and/or
a a a a a a a a a a a member of of the California Association of of Clerks and and Election Officials A A bilingual candidate (Spanish/English) would be be a a a a a a a a a a a bonus Relocation reimbursement will be considered for this position QUALIFICATIONS
» Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or or or or or university with major coursework in in in public or or or or or business administration or related field may substitute one year of full-time experience = 30 semester hours » Five years of managerial administrative or or supervisory experience in in in in a a a a a a a a a a government agency with one year year administering voter registration or elections » Knowledge of of o functions and and and procedures of of o a a a a a a a a public election’s office federal and and and state laws and and and regulations governing elections within the the State of of California the the use of of computers and and applications in in voter registration and and election election activities
