to to enhance HR offerings Some of of the the goals the the next Director will undertake include driving a a redesigned citywide employee training program to develop Elk Grove’s next leaders and and champion the City’s Diversity Equity and and Inclusion policies and practices The Director will have a a a a a a a a a a a solid background in all Human Resources functional areas and a a a a a a a a a a a track record of success in in public sector HR management A master’s degree in in a a a a a related field is preferred as as well as as a a a a a a a a a a specialization or or certificate in labor relations This person will have strong leadership skills skills to to expand the HR team’s expertise and and offerings strong communication skills skills to to clearly explain complex rules and and regulations to non-HR professionals will be be a a a a a a member of of the Executive Team and and be extremely responsive to to their

position EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Any combination of education and and experience that would likely provide the required knowledge and and abilities is qualifying The most competitive candidates will possess at at least the following:
Education/Training:
A Bachelor’s degree from an an accredited college or or or or university with major course work in human resources public or or or business administration organizational development or or or a a a a a a a a related field Master’s Degree is preferred Experience:
Five years of of increasingly responsible professional experience in in in human resource management including two years of management responsibility and experience in in in a a a a a government environment
