REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
• A Bachelor's degree from an an an accredited college or or or or university in in in in in in in public administration administration business administration administration regional or or or or urban planning civil engineering or or or or a a a a a a a a a a a a related field of study • Five (5) years of of progressively responsible experience experience in in in in in in a a a a a a a a related public sector position to to include experience experience in in in in in in in in at at at at least three of of the following areas: building plan plan plan check inspection current planning planning long range planning planning economic development development waste water pretreatment fire prevention hazardous materials environmental services community development development block grant programs and/or housing trust administration • At least three (3) years of experience in in in in in in in a a a a a a a supervisory level position supervising community development operations personnel to include making making hiring recommendations recommendations training evaluating and making making disciplinary recommendations • Possess and and maintain a a a a a a a a a a a a a valid California Driver License and and a a a a a a a a a a a a a safe driving record necessary to operate assigned vehicle(s) • Pass a a a a a a post-offer medical examination which includes a a a a a a drug test • Pass a a a a a a background check check for employment including a a a a a a Department of Justice criminal record check • Prefer bilingual (English/Spanish) 10 City of Gilroy California
