The Position
Appointed by the the Development Development Services Services Director Director the the Assistant Development Development Services Services Director Director plans organizes directs and

coordinates the the the the work of the the the the Planning Division and

assists the the the the Director with the the the the Department’s day- to-day operations and

management of services operational policies budget and
and
strategic plans This position directly supervises the Zoning Administrator and
Principal Planner Responsibilities for this position include:
» Presenting and
and
justifying planning recommendations to management governing bodies and
and
community groups
» Managing the the coordination development and
and
implementation of the the General Plan area plans and
and
Zoning Code
» Assisting in in in the the development development of of procedures and
and
and
implementation of of policies recommending changes to to to regulatory and
and
policy documents to to control and
and
guide the City‘s development » Evaluating existing programs and
and
and
and
and
and
activities of of of the the the Planning Division and
and
and
and
and
and
initiating actions for improvement supervising coordinating and
and
evaluating the work of of professional and
and
administrative staff
» » Overseeing the the the preparation of of of the the the annual division budget » » Serving as the the the the staff
liaison for the the the the Planning Commission
