Story 236
The Boat Launch
The fat boy said, “ Kind friend, so dear, so staunch, please, oh
please, help me to launch my launch. I’d do it myself but for my big
paunch, and my big big haunch.”
The other replied, “ Fat friend, if you are ever to lose your fat
paunch, and even fatter haunch, laziness is a habit you must staunch.”
Story 237
His Last Jaunt
To save our souls was Jesus’ want. So for forty days He fasted, and
grew deep-eyed and gaunt. He knew that soon he would take His
Calvary jaunt, and hear these jeers and taunts:
VAUNT, YOUR GREATNESS!
FLAUNT , YOUR CROWN OF THORNS!
Through it all, His courage did never daunt!
